So after a MIDI recording, I wanted to make manual corrections to vibrato depth which I was controlling with aftertouch. In using Ctrl+click-drag or Shift+Ctrl+click-drag (Draw/edit CC events ignoring selection, Linear ramp CC events ignoring selection) if I wanted to start doing this from on top of a bar that's already there, it highlights the whole cluster and horizontal mouse movement will "push" the cluster back around a beat and also make a transparent green area based on the last value previous to the cluster, I cannot shift it back to where it was, and dragging it backwards will seem to erase whatever is roughly 2 beats in proximity, altering the height of the green transparency. Vertical movement scales the values. I found this to happen on a plain click and hold without modifiers at all. Strangely only some clusters of events exhibit the issue. The undo related to this reads: "MIDI editor: Set CCs" I tried making some changes in Editing Behavior > Mouse Modifiers in Preferences but I haven't gotten results. What is going on? How can I make this work more sensibly for me?

chapter 16 of the manual explains automation in detail (midi cc data can be used for automation). otherwise you might want to record a licecap (), upload it here: and then paste the code into your post, since from your description i for one haven't a single clue what you're trying to describe.
