Hello, I discovered that when you freeze an instrument track, it displays the wave form. That's very handful to acurately move some notes to quantize peaks or whatever. Is there a way to have the same display without freezing the track ? Regards.

There's no way Reaper can know what the waveform from a synth should look like by examining the midi. The waveform of a drum hit will look far different that of a piano note, for example.

But when Reaper freezes a track, it does display the waveform. And if I move the item, the midi is moved when I unfreeze it. I assumed it could be some sort of "live freeze" function but lighter on cpu as Reaper could limit itself to calculate the waveform rather than actually process the sound.

Mayve a very quick freeze and unfreeze buttons should be enough, maybe on selected item only. K'd like that for exemple to acurately play percus rolls or rises.
